Vacancy Short Description : To assist in construction and practical maintenance projects on a variety of sites which help maintain and enhance the broads, rivers and waterways.

 

Qualifications Required : GCSE grades 9 – 5 (A – C) in English and Maths or equivalent Functional Skills qualifications
Vacancy Full Description : To assist in the carrying out of construction and practical maintenance projects which help maintain and enhance the broads, rivers and waterways. Utilising skills and developing knowledge assist in providing sustainable countryside & waterway projects working on a variety of sites and locations that make up the Broads National Park.
Number of Positions Available : 3
Working Week : Monday to Frday 37 hours
Salary : £166.50 Per Week

Future Prospects : Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, apprentices will be in a strong position to apply for vacancies as and when they arise.
Training to be Provided : Intermediate Countryside Management - Environmental Conservation Level 2 including Functional Skills in Maths and English if required
Other Information : You must be able to get to the Authority's Dockyard based at Griffin Lane, Norwich for 8am each day.

Pay Rates: The current NMW rate for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour with effect from 1st April 2019. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training. Apprentices need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in the industry with a contract of employment
