Qualifications Required : Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to establish course suitability. Applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs including English and Maths at grades A-C or 9- 4. Apprentices need to be employed for minimum of 30 hours a week in the industry with a contract of employment.
Proof of qualifications will be required before you can be accepted onto the apprenticeship.

Vacancy Full Description : We require a young, enthusiastic person to join our small team. Training will be given in all aspects of horse husbandry and show preparation including plaiting and clipping. Job role will include mucking out, lunging, grooming, tack cleaning and travelling to shows.
Number of Positions Available : 2
Working Week : 5 days per week with occasional weekend work
Salary : £150.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : the applicant needs to be hard working and keen to learn. To be understanding and patient with the horses and have a cheerful personality.
Skills Required :
Basic handling of horses
Future Prospects : a full time job on the yard
Training to be Provided : Equine Groom Standard including Functional Skills in Maths and English if required
Other Information : Pay Rates: The current NMW rate for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour with effect from 1st April 2017. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
