Qualifications Required : Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to establish course suitability. Applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs including English and Maths at grades A-C or 9- 4. Apprentices need to be employed for minimum of 30 hours a week in the industry with a contract of employment.
Proof of qualifications will be required before you can be accepted onto the apprenticeship.
PLEASE NOTE: Those without the stated entry requirements or awaiting GCSE/GCSE retake grades, may be offered an appointment to come into college (Easton or Otley campus) and sit an online assessment to confirm program suitability.
Vacancy Full Description : Working in our busy school office you will ensure the smooth running of reception and provide administrative support to the office team, pupils, and other staff. This will include creating documents using Microsoft Office, filing, emails and post. You will need excellent communication skills as you will answer the phone and be the first point of contact for all visitors. Good attention to detail is essential to ensure your work is accurate and information is recorded correctly.

Below is a summary of your key roles and responsibilities;
• Initial point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils and staff regarding school-related enquiries
• Answer the telephone in a timely, professional and polite manner
• Relay messages
• Provide administrative support to the office and school staff including letters, copying, producing documents
• Maintain filing systems
• Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school
• Participate in training, meetings and other learning activities and performance development
• Comply with necessary policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
• Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post, as directed by the Business manager or Headteacher

Working Week : Mon-Fri 8.30am-3.30pm
Salary : £136.50 Per Week

Personal Qualities : We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate candidates who will be efficient and flexible in the office environment. You should have good time management and be able to use your initiative and maintain an organised and tidy environment.
Skills Required : You must have a good working attitude and willingness to learn. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and strong organisational and team working skills. You will be able to demonstrate a good level of spoken and written literacy and ideally have a good general knowledge of ICT packages (Microsoft).

Other Information : Pay Rates: The current NMW rate for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour with effect from 1st April 2019. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
