Apprentices need to be employed for minimum of 30 hours a week in the industry with a contract of employment.
Vacancy Full Description : Your duties will include all areas of HGV repair and service below are listed some but not all of the duties you will be carrying out
• Tyres and wheels
• Exhaust emissions
• Steering and suspension
• Vehicle diagnostics
• Air conditioning
• Services and inspection
• HGV brake testing and rolling
• HGV and trailer preparation
• Suspension system checks
• Fuel exhaust checks
• Electrical system maintenance
• Gearbox repairs and much more
Number of Positions Available : 1
Working Week : Mon -Fri 8am -5pm
Salary : £220.00 Per Week

Personal Qualities : Ideally you will have some experience, even if its only having fixed bicycles or lawnmowers. We expect full commitment from the successful candidate to this program, in return we will offer all the support and training that will be necessary to complete.
Skills Required : You will have a passion for engineering along with the desire to learn from experienced existing HGV engineers. You will want a long term career in this industry. You will be motivated and committed to complete the advanced level apprenticeship as part of this role.
Future Prospects : For the right candidate who proves to be hard working, flexible on hours to meet business demands and with the desire to learn from existing experienced staff members, the long term prospects of a full time position are excellent
Training to be Provided : Transport - Heavy vehicle service & maintenance technician Level 3 including Functional Skills in Maths and English if required
Other Information : Pay Rates: The current NMW rate for Apprentices is £3.70 per hour with effect from 1st April 2018. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
