Vacancy Short Description : A vacancy has arisen to support the delivery of P.E., School Sport and Health to the pupils of Mattishall Primary School. The vacancy will be highly practical and include administration tasks to support the smooth running of the P.E. department.
Qualifications Required : GCSE’s in English, Maths at A - C / 9 - 4 and desirably P.E.

Vacancy Full Description : The successful candidate will work to support the PE Subject Leader in conjunction with the West Norwich and School Sports Partnership (WNDSSP) to provide high quality teaching and learning in P.E and assist with providing enrichment opportunities for pupils. The role will be highly practical and include administration tasks to support the PE Lead provide, evidence and measure impact of the PE and School Sport offer. The school’s safeguarding policies will be paramount across all duties. Duties will include (but are not exclusive to) supporting the teaching, learning and assessment in PE; resourcing lessons and clubs; completing administration tasks to provide Out of School Hours Leaning (Before/Break Time/After School Clubs); supporting the delivery of OSHL; supporting the arrangement and organisation of intra and inter school sport; collecting and maintaining high quality records to both support pupil learning and help measure the impact of the school’s PE and School Sport offer; supporting the PE lead to provide opportunities for less active/gifted/talented pupils and supporting the delivery of our successful Play Leaders role.

Future Prospects : Along with real on the job experience, the role will offer an abundance of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities through school’s in-house training and through the WNDSSP which can be taken forward into future careers. Apprentices successfully completing the Advanced Apprenticeship have opportunities to progress within the industry by developing a career in delivering curriculum PE, delivering extra curriculum sport, Higher Level Teaching Assistant or embark on a degree level programme at University in Sport or Teaching

Other Information : The vacancy closing date is flexible, dependent on when a suitable candidate is secured. Interviews will be held at the convenience of both employer and employee and will be held any time between now and then. So please apply in accordance with the closing date.
The hourly wage will be a minimum of £3.70 but dependent on age and experience.
Things to consider : Hours will be worked during term time Mon-Fri and may be changeable within that time to accommodate OSHL and twi-light training opportunities.
