Qualifications Required : Maths and English GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent.
Ideally working towards AAT
Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to establish course suitability. Apprentices need to be employed for minimum of 30 hours a week in the industry with a contract of employment.
Proof of qualifications will be required before you can be accepted onto the apprenticeship.
Vacancy Full Description : Key responsibilities:
Entering purchase invoices onto Open Accounts
Checking for the correct authorisation of invoices
Assisting with payment runs
Assisting with answering queries from suppliers and staff
Assisting with training on our Purchase Ordering System
Filing and scanning of invoices
Occasional travel to our Easton campus
Occasional helping at College events on a weekend at either campus
A key role in supporting the purchase ledger function which is responsible for the monitoring, recording and payment of the College expenditure.

Training to be Provided : Qualification: Business Admin Level 2
College Attendance: There is no regular college attendance required as the qualification is delivered almost entirely in the workplace.
Training for all job specific tasks will be given. In addition the apprentice will have the support and guidance of a qualified assessor from the college, who will make on-site visits every 6-8 weeks. There may be the occasional need to attend either the Otley or Easton campus for short training courses and tests.
Other Information : Pay Rates: From 1st October 2017 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
Working Week: 37 hours a week Mon-Thurs 8.30am-5.00pm, Fri 8.30am-4.30pm. An hour lunch break each day.
